A Brief History

Incorporated on 21 June 2002, the mission of Skema Connexions Pte Ltd is to add value to people and businesses through User Experience localisation and culture in human–centred planning, design, engineering and testing to deliver cost effective and efficient user experience projects.

With technology playing an increasingly critical role in the way which customers and staff experience websites, applications and intranets, it is imperative for companies to make use of these technologies efficiently and effectively to increase business and customer satisfaction. Skema enables companies from "simply designing websites" to designing a positive user experience that is aligned with business objectives and their key performance indicators for great returns on investment.

Skema now has offices in Singapore and Hangzhou, China.

Debbie's professional career started in 1995 with Sembawang Media, the pioneer in

Debbie's focus in the development of Information Architecture and project specifications and graphical user interface prototypes saw her serving as a Lead Designer (Information Design), Creative Group Leader and Media Producer at Silkroute Ventures, a Singapore-based

She also devised workflow methodology to ensure fluidity, higher productivity and quality adherence in project development with clients.

In her pursuit of User Experience localisation and culture, she moved on to a NASDAQ listed company and one of Asia's pioneering companies in the Internet media business – Asiacontent.com Solutions as a Regional Consultant. She led both internal teams and external vendors across Asia in pre–sales consulting, strategic and usability consulting, e–marketing, web development, content management and project management through the internet and mobile platforms.

In April 2000, Debbie was appointed as a Singapore Young Business Ambassador where she was involved in extensive programme of visits to Australian business organisations and government representatives to network and foster strong business and professional ties between Singapore and Australia. She undertook work placement at Multimedia Victoria (MMV), a division of the Victorian Government's Department of State and Regional Development. She worked with the team in redeveloping Multimedia Victoria's portal by providing consulting and design expertise in information architecture and usability issues.

An experienced international speaker, Debbie has conducted training and shared her professional knowledge in several international conferences on information and communication technologies (ICT) for Asia–Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), ASEAN Confederation of Women's Organisations (ACWO) and Singapore Business Professional Women Association (SBPWA) in Brunei, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
